CONTACT Marathon

Join CONTACT and all the teens to seniors that we serve every day as we begin the race to erase the silence of depression through our Embrace to Erase Marathon. We are now at the starting line and need your support to get us across the finish line.

CONTACT runners and relay teams will be running in the Dallas White Rock Marathon on Sunday, December 4, 2011 to raise funds and spread awareness about CONTACT’s programs and services that impact the lives of so many in our community. The objective of the Embrace to Erase Marathon benefiting CONTACT is to raise awareness of depression and through the race to take a step closer to erase the silence that surrounds depression.

To erase the silence of depression… that is why we race.

For more than 44 years CONTACT has been “the rock” for so many individuals in our community facing daily life challenges such as depression, suicide, loneliness, addiction, medical and financial issues among others. CONTACT is the empowering link for Greater Dallas residents who want to resolve a problem or crisis. We are unique among Greater Dallas crisis prevention and intervention organizations because we combine three empowering services: 24/7 free, confidential help lines; immediate emergency support; and unique crisis prevention outreach- to help anyone find their way from breaking point to turning point.

This year, the goal of CONTACT’s Embrace to Erase Marathon is to raise $35,000 for our Crisis Help Line Program, by recruiting runners and relay teams and take a step closer to erasing the silence of depression.

You can be a part of this amazing marathon campaign in many ways. We ask that you join the Embrace to Erase Marathon for CONTACT by partnering with us in one of the race sponsorship levels, as a runner or a member of a relay team!
